螢火蟲熒光素酶 (firefly luciferase)和海腎螢光素酶(Renilla luciferase)可分別催化熒光素 (luciferin)或腔腸素 (coelenterazine) 氧化形成oxyluciferin或coelenteramide ,并在此過程中產(chǎn)生生物熒光。TransDetect? Double-Luciferase Reporter Assay Kit首先以熒光素為底物檢測螢火蟲熒光素酶報(bào)告基因的活性,之后在淬滅該熒光反應(yīng)的同時(shí),以腔腸素為底物檢測海腎熒光素酶報(bào)告基因的活性,具有檢測迅速、靈敏度高、檢測范圍廣、無細(xì)胞內(nèi)源活性干擾等特點(diǎn)。
